Even in these days of a global crisis, ARAN is not pausing at all; the Company continues to supply its vital products to the food industry worldwide from its plants in Spain, the USA, and Israel. The activities are continuing at full capacity throughout the entire production and supply chain, while fully applying protection and security rules. ARAN STEPS INTO THE WORLD OF PHARMA AND BIOTECH

ARAN-BIO, a new subsidiary of ARAN in partnership with BIOPHARMAX, manufactures and supplies SUS (Single Use Systems) packaging for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. The flexible products (1 – 1,000 liters) are used for medical medium storage, as well as bio-reactors, in which the biological process is carried out as part of the production array of medicines and vaccines. The ARAN-BIO plant was recently launched with a multimillion-dollar investment, in order to be a significant player in this high-potential market. More details – in the next newsletter.

 

ARAN HAS MOBILIZED TO FIGHT THE VIRUS: MANUFACTURINGLIFE-SAVING EQUIPMENT

In addition to continuing its normal activities, ARAN was engaged to assist in the fight against the Covid-19 virus. The company is sharing its technical knowledge with research companies at the forefront of the industry, to assist in the production and supply of COVID-19 test kits,

artificial respiration equipment, and essential personnel protective clothing.

ARAN manufactures innovative test kits for the Israeli company NANOSCENT, which is developing a sensor for diagnosing the virus based on testing the patient’s breathing. The system, which includes an inflatable bag by ARAN, delivers an accurate result in 60 seconds. The results in the clinical trials of the test kit were excellent, and it is expected that it will soon receive approval for

wide clinical use. ARAN assists in the development of low-cost and effective artificial respiration equipment:

using ARAN’s advanced bags, an Israeli team was able to develop a smart and simple respirator

for mass production. At the same time, ARAN supplies a special laminate textile that was developed for

protective clothing, which combines polyethylene sheets with fabric layers. The result is a soft and

comfortable protection suit, completely sealed to gases and liquids, which ensures full protection to medical and security personnel.
